    Cuff Title help

    Hi!
Well, I have a chance to buy 2 cuff titles and wanted to get your opinions. The Deutschland cuff only has 6 thread border and secondly the name is in a grey thread.
The "8" cuff title has the correct weave but is a bit heavy. Secondly, it has 2 RZM tags. What do you guys think?
    Thanks!
    Bob

It looks like the pundits missed this one. So, I will step in again and show off my new knowledge and perhaps stir up some dialog.

            On the good side:

            1) There were original 6 wire thread titles -- I have seen Deutschland examples of this.
            2) This title is supposed to be in grey thread on this version.
            3) The cloth itself looks pretty good.
            4) The 2 RZM tags mean that the blank title with wire thread was done by one company, the embroidery by another.

            On the bad side.

            1) The "Deutschland seems to rise from left to right. The final "d" is quite high.

Can you post a closeup of the first part of the "Deutschland"? Are those picks in the embroidery in the letters or sloppiness?

can you post a pick of the reverse of the "8"?

I think the "8" looks pretty good and is probably OK. The "Deutschland" causes some concern, but it may be OK as well.

You should let more experienced folks chime in before taking my advice, however, as I am still a junior SS cloth man.

              Allgemeine SS Aermelstreifen

The 8er Sturm title of post 1937 pattern is quite real. A chunk of these turned up from an excellent source here in California. Once they are gone into the cosmos, that will be the end of them, really. I cannot speak to the SSVT title, since I only know the alu. embroidered ones, actually. But the # piece is fine. Viel Sammerlglueck.

I must agree with all that has been posted here. The numbered title is 100% original. The Deutschland is not something I would want.
