I'm pretty sure this is real and even issued and worn but some of the stitching is so bad, did stuff like this get by late in the war?

sweat stains dont show up under bright light so well but in hand, it was worn quite a bit..

Yes, original, commonly referred to as a Dachau panzer m43. I thought about it on estand too. Price was fair for a worn one, which are less common. An all original cap.

The quality on these ranges from OK to terrible, this one is fine. Finding worn ones is a challenge, congratulations!

Original and nice piece...not that it matters a lot but unless Im missing something, it appears to be an unissued and unworn piece.

Scott, you are right - the mottling on the underside of the bill is just the cardboard tone, and the cap doesn't show wear beyond that. My bad.
