    SS officers visor?

    Any thoughts on this ss visor cap? It is the only pics of the hat I have. J

    It is sort of like judging untouched verses restored tunic. Heer cap with SS insignia. When they were married? That's a multi thousand dollar question.

    I think close examination of the thread, aging and wear patterns is the only way to tell anything, if no provenance is present.

      Green or black band?
      IMO, perhaps a crusher with a replacement of the sweatband and visor.

          At the first look I would say "no". But It seems to come from a perfect original set posted on WAF few years ago.

            I new it seemed familiar.
            It is from SS-Ostuf. Gerhard Lotze group, probably the best SS uniform group out there.
