SS VT Skull Button and SS Shooting Award

Found these today in the bottom of a box of British cap badges and buttons. I think both are good, but would appreciate your advice.
1. SS-VT Side Cap Skull button
2. SS Marksman Badge 1st class

The skull button is textbook original. Can't comment on the badge.

Pictures could certainly be better, but I think the marksmanship badge is OK.

Not this type badges expert but it look like primitive cast made...

Better pictures of both items. The shooting award weighs 5.3 g. I don't see any evidence of casting.

Just cleaned and buffed it up a bit. After 70+ years in a biscuit tin, it doesn't look too bad

I still think the shooting award is just fine. The weight is in the right ballpark, perhaps even a bit low. Pictures are better, but still not the greatest (Not sure I could do better.) I don't see anything that I can identify as a casting flaw.

Anyone want to chime in with a weight?
