Inherited SS Items -Need your expertise

    Hello all,
I recently inherited my father’s SS M42 tunic, SS M43 cap and M1944 dot drill jacket.
At least that is what I think they are. He had collected elite German items since the late 1950s. I believe he had had these particular items since the early 1970s if not before. I am seeking your advise to ascertain their originality. Not sure how to post pics.
I also received an SA dagger and a RAD dagger as well. Hoping all items are indeed originals.
I will post pics as soon as I figure out how.
    Thanks

    Hi,

    welcome to the board !

    1) you may want to wait until the middle of next week to start your various topics, as the Wehrmacht Awards board would migrate from one server to another.

    2) for SS items, it is the right subforum.
You will need to post each item in a new topic to avoid confusion.
Write on the title what you are presenting ("SS M42 tunic opinions" for example).

2b) for the daggers, you may post them on this subforum :
    http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...splay.php?f=29

    3) it is now free to upload pictures directly on the WAF.
Do not upload your pics on third party websites.
For each item, start to write your first post, then under "Submit Reply" you will find the grey box "Manage Attachments".
Click on it, then chose one by one each picture (max of 10 per post).
Your picture need to be in the right side if possible and each not more than 1mo.
For SS tunics, you may need to post additional pics if members ask you to do so.
After having chosen all the pics, you need to click on "Upload" to have them (really) uploaded on the board.
If some fail, this is maybe because the pics are too big, and you may need to downsize them.

Then you can finally click on "Submit Reply" to post your message.

If you need help, you can contact me through PM.

    4) depending on what you may have (good or bad items), you may be flooded by members trying to buy directly from you.
It is advised to ask for opinions on value of your stuff first...
If you want to propose the items on the e-stand, you will have to become an association member to have access to the selling section as a seller.

    See You

Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

That's all for now just waiting for inside pictures of the camo jacket until I can show Darrell how to attach images. First thing I see is what looks like insignias have a little bit of glue around the edges ? Post your opinions

Because the pictures were way to big for waf image uploader, so the quickest way for me to resize them was post them on ghw then copy them for the correct size

Thanks Greg and HAF for the info on the 44dot! Good to know where it was made.
What is your opinion on the tunic and cap?
Any opinions on what these items are valued at?
                            Thanks
