    SS Odal Sleeve Diamond

I am far from a cloth/insignia collector. I have looked at a few examples posted here, one that has the threads going in the same direction as this one, the rest are horizontalodal 1.JPG.
Does anyone have any opinions on this one. Thanks everyone.

Thank you Gary, I appreciate the help. Daggers I know, cloth I do not.

The bullion is far too course- It is a copy for me- there are a few genuine examples posted here in the past and you will see a big difference when you compare.

These are scarce and the EM versions might even be considered rare. I agree with Patrick based on real examples that I have seen and the grade of bullion used on other SS “diamonds”. I can not 100% rule out a coarse bullion variation, but I am not crazy over the badge cloth either as it shows fuzz. Maybe it was made in 1944 along with 9 others and they are not around now to baseline but I have no basis to believe this one is period.

Thanks everyone, I actually did compare it to several others that have been listed here (I do my research), that being said there have been a few "variants" hence the reason for my inquiry.
I really appreciate the help ya'll, the hunt continues.

Be very wary of that style of tubular bullion … and who you listen to when they say things look right to them

I really prefer the pattern posted by Mike Davis.
