That cap is a fake The eagle and skull are bad fakes the sweat shield is made out of plastic just so many red flags please save your money.

The insignia are the very very lowest, entry-level, fakes and should be immediately obvious to anyone who has even a passing interest in German militaria.

For your sake please invest your time in doing lots of free research on here before you even consider buying an item again.

Ian, oh don't worry. I have already got my ass handed to me more than enough time's to have learned my lesson. Was not planning on buying this , rather to post for the newbies (just like me) of what is out there . To a trained eye as you , it's obvious , but to an anxious new collector it's another story .
