This cap was discovered at LUBECK 5 years ago, most likely from a veteran. It has been well preserved over all these years. Just a few small moth holes on the front piping. The cap having been crushed over the years and due to lack of attention, a bead has formed on the front and thus served for moths to make their nest. Here are the photos that were taken by the picker just after the discovery. I was lucky to be able to buy it. It was very expensive. This story is real, I invent nothing.
It is not for sale, at any price.
Probably one of the most desirable SS crusher I 've seen on 50 years of collection.

CONCLUSION
On one side, 12 like the cap. I understand you.
On the other side, 3 criticize it:
- the first advance elements which could be true in the case of a bad cap, which is not the case here.
He says :First red flag is the difference between the outside and inside of the cap.
I say : it’s completely wrong, this visor presents a light use inside and outside
He says : Second, the liner and pleats are a mess.
I say : look at the photos, everything is perfect and untouched
He says : Thirdly, attachenent of leather swetaband, especially at the back
I say : Back attachment is correct for a 42/43 erel production
He says : Fourthly, attachment of black capband.
I say : how can he says that by never having had it in hands
Moreover, the four examples he presented in this thread are early Alter Art.
Mine is a late production.
- the second knows nothing about visor caps (I brought the proof) and tells inconsistent things.
He says : Capband is way too sloppy attached, uneven wear, Liner not right, and the Piping for me is the nail in the Coffin. Nothing i would want to touch at all. Nice try, with real Insignia. But, not good enough.
I say : no comment
- the third speaks to say nothing
I say : no comment
Many thanks to the believers.
And for the others, nobody can be sure of their opinions of an item until they have it in their own hands. Mostly in the headgears field.
YES, Waffen SS Erel visor caps have been produced during WW2.
The one presented in this threads is the proof.
