IMO based on those pics this skull could be not very early SS skull.
This skull could be very very late SS skull.
This way could be made a view years ago.
This way it could be a copy.
But as I always wrote I could be wrong because the only source we are have are those pics.

That can't be later Peter, because the piece is around 1920-1925, and not a copy either, because ten years ago I took the piece from the attic myself !!!

O.K if you took this piece personally from a attic and you are living in Germany skull could be orginal.
My opinin was based on pics which you posted .
On those pics details are not visible maybe due to heavy patina on this skull and not so detailed pics.
This way suturae on this skull posted by you are not detailed as on skull same type posted in link.(for sure 100% orginal)
Summary if skull details are exactly same as this posted in link -skull is orginal and could be eraly SS skull.
Of course sorry if I made mistake.

At first I tthought ground dug but looks like some kind of rough finish was applied. It may have been done long ago,you can see smooth metal where the finish is chipping off. What is the skull attached to and are the pins gone? Vince

If it is orginal it is a ground dug and pins are gone(in some cases they are a key to proof orginality)
