SS- Rottenführer collar tab

Hi,

As you've helped me before I'd appreciate your help once again. Your help has not been in vain, I've learned and I'm starting to have a little knowledge regarding SS-runics, arm-eagles and cuff-titles, and trying to learn more.

However an area I haven't explored yet is the rank insignia, and would need help of you regarding this SS-Rottenführer rank tab, is it authentic? I have a good feeling about it, but I have no reference to compare it to, and a good feeling isn't a way to collect... especially SS.

On a second thought.

The material seems quite thick and I find it problematic that the rank stripes are stitched above the machine stitching of the collar tab itself. Applied later by hand?

Does someone agree or differ with what I'm trying to say?
