There was never a black-and-white waffenfarbe for Panzerpioniere in the waffen-ss. These are shoulder boards for panzerpioniere Heer

You are mistaken Yury! These are very rare shoulder boards of Waffen-SS Panzerpioniere.
Similar can be seen at Helmut Weitz on the site, but there they are converted from infantry.

The construction on these board pairs look fine, as do the materials. It is so profitable today to reproduce these correctly, though, that hands-on is almost the only was to be sure. No red flags for me, though.

The top LAH pair have correct cypher embroidery IMO, and are probably about a 2200-2500 USD pair, but many collectors are too spooked by the super fakes to pull the trigger. The metal cyphered boards are always suspect to me, and are probably worth the value of their parts.

I like the two first boards shown I don’t know anything about the third.

                Guys, thanks for the answers!
I agree with Robert that there are a lot of good copies...
Yet these are really original good boards.
Put up for discussion because I have to break up with part of the collection. And there was no doubt for the future owner.
On the third couple I give a link.

Those LAH boards are exact the pattern that appeared earlier last year on some dealer homepages.

Nothing I would want in my collection.

The appearance of any item on multiple dealer sites does not make them reproductions, if they are made correctly with period details. From my perspective, the LAH boards do.

When small groups of these items appear, such as the last batch of SS cufftitles, G43 magazine pouches, or the hundreds of tropical M40 caps, they will be seen on multiple sites. Their group appearance does not make them bad.

That's the problem these days - more and more good fakes are popping up and few collectors have the knowledge to spot them.

For the collectors that have handled or have one (or more) original cyphers in their collections, they are not that hard to spot.....

In my opinion all new fakes- the LAH straps look like Janke ones that have been embroidered. The piping on the 2nd set also is not at all what one would expect on straps of this construction- looks like wool?
