It is original Allgemeine SS issued canteen. Very nice and worth much more than $200. I would say at least $400 in that nice condition.

I'm with Prowler on his assessment of the value as the condition is nearly "mint".

I bought mine (which ironically looked absolutely identical to this one) in 1986 in the UK for about $200 back then. That is a very rare and unique piece of kit if you want to dress up an A-SS uniform display.
