on the reverse is written Wünshe (with a space between the s and the h)
in normal german it should be Wünsche ...
in total its a very churchlike text on the obverse - i don't know if the julfest was such a "holy" thing for the ss.
on the item itself i can't make comments

Appears to be a nice Allach Julfest plate, just strange that the "c" is missing from Wunsche? One would'nt expect a mistake like that from the Allach company. Especially when made for such an Illustrious person as Oswald Pohl.

Oh! and it is definately incorrect, check page 92 of "SS Porcelain Allach" by Tony Oliver, nice detailed image of rear of plate, showing the correct wording "Wunsche".

is it possible the missing C is just a mistake on an otherwise original piece? I haven't seen these faked yet, but these days anything is possible

I must admit I haven't heard of these plates being faked either, perhaps it was a genuine error ?

                  Hey Guy's,

While I have not heard of these being faked, I can't imagine a company such as Allach allowing a piece like this out as it would be a pretty major insult to the individual.

BTW the Chinese are faking everything these days including US silver dollars!

I suppose it could have been a factory reject, did they destroy rejects or let staff have them?? we'll probably never know.
But I must go along with you that plate would certainly not have gone to the customer with a mistake like that.
As regarding fakes, if they were faking these julfest plates you would expect to see the Fairs and auction houses flooded with them, and I can honestly say the last Pohl plate I seen for sale was several years ago, and I go to most European fairs.

                    Regards Hiag

thanks for the info guys, the seller is in Holland and I've bought some regular SS plates that are authentic ( just regular Victoria and Baucher Weiden dinner plates) The mistake is kind of mysterious. Whats a good price for an item like this?

I would pass on it if I were you. While I don't have concrete evidence that these are being produced, it would be a very very simple matter to have them made. I don't like the mistake.

An average price for the Pohl plate with the correct wording would be around £400-£500 GB, you'll have to work the currency exchange rate out yourself.

                          Regards Hiag

Plate is 100% correct, get a shot of the 4 O'clock position in a closeup and can confirm it. Reading too much into this one and price is 4-500 american.

                              Gary,
US Silver Dollars?! That's a new one on me. Very scary.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I guess everything is being faked
nowadays. Like the old tv show.... "Who Do You Trust?"
