Need opinions on SS tunic...

Hi all.

I'd like to get some opinions and feedback on this tunic. There are elements about it that I absolutely like, but SS (as we all know) can be very tricky waters to navigate so I'd like other opinions.

IMO this is not a original SS tunic, I'm sorry to say. At least for the insignia concerned.

I agree with Don's suspicions and the insignia comments. That weave of gaberdine is very common in post-war uniforms, and a six-button tunic that is missing common features is not a good sign.

When was the last time we saw an original tailor-made SS officers tunic with no turn-back cuffs? The back has the civic cut - not the modified rock style I'd expect to see.

I'd recommend holding out for a better example.
