    Hello,

So if I understand, to resume :
All the binoculars BMJ 10x50 tan, numbered between 400 000 and 500 000 are ww2 made sets, and the others (without number or with number between 0 and 40 000) are post-war assembled sets with war-made pieces ?

And how can we know this ? Are there archives to explain that ?

    Thank you very much,
    Best regards

This pretty well sums up the premise. I don’t think that anyone knows this for certain and as far as I know I am the one who first suggested this. My belief is not based on any scholarly research or period documentation but just observation of a large number of examples.
