    Ajack Scope

Hi all. I have recently acquired an ‘Ajack 2.5 x 70’ rifle scope. The scope is serial numbered: 1493 and has a German No.1 reticle. Most of the bluing has gone and it is mounted with Parker Hale mounts.

My question is, what age is this please? My guess is inter war period.

If anyone has any information about this model and it’s age It’d be much appreciated.

    Many thanks

My best somewhat educated guess is that it dates from the later 1920s- early 1930s. My problem is that I do not recall the exact year Ajack began production, but this would date from the first year or two.

Thank you for your input, it seems we are of similar thoughts with the age being between wars.

Any further information about the age would be very good.

          Hello,

This scope is made post WWII around 1951, they started the serial numbering over again post WWII. The font and Germany are of the later AJACK type logo seen by the company. There was the SOLE distributer of these scope in the USA and it was Flaigs check out their ads they first advertised in Nov 1952 and last advertised in Dec 1959.
