Is this camera authentic pre 1945 what wpuld it have been used for and what would you value it at.

I also think it is a fake....
Camera is okay. Most likely an older Ikonta camera from Zeiss Ikon.

But I would like to see a clear photo of the eagle, before I will declare it a fake with 100% certainty. It seems to be the correct type of eagle for an early SS item.
Possibly Franz Langer can be looked up?

Completely unlikely to be genuine, but, just but...

Would I pay top dollar for this?, nope.
But for a fair price, I would like to pay for the name/grade markings. Markings like these are not so easy to fake.

I don't think those markings stand a chance at all. I don't see the umlaut in Obersturmführer. The markings look to me to have been done with a laser. It's a pity.
