Zeiss D.F. 6x42

Hello all- I came across a set of Zeiss D.F. 6x42’s recently and just received them in the mail. The serial number 1000792 is just two units off the set at the fernglas museum numbered 1000794 (see below link). Interesting to see two sets so close in number that were made 100 years ago!

They remind me a lot of the Delactis in size and weight, but seem a bit heavier. I included a couple of photos for comparison. BTW, the Delactis are one of my favorites to look through.

Nice find! I finally found a DF6x42 for a reasonable price recently and was surprised to find it had the Turkish reticle from WW1 and had then been reissued to British Forces in WW2. So we're not alone in appreciating them.

I find the viewing experience to be unlike any other although you're right, the Delactis is also a great glass and was favoured in WW2 by the Royal Australian Navy (among others)
