    Binocular Germany-08 (Fernglas-08) for export??

Hello guys! I know army Binocular Fernglas-08, but this one is Germany-08 (made by Schulz&Co). Am I right, this model was made for export? Does it reduce its value?

Many were sold in the US after the war as reparations so the value to military collectors will be less.

Sgt Bilko is probably right. Made for exports.
      But:
Tan colour, so, when exactly was it made?
Looks odd for a Schütz Kassel.

You might wanna check out other Fernglas 08 from Schütz, to see if they look like this one.
It may be a civilian model all the way through.

      Nice thing, regardless.

Thank you, guys, for all your comments and opinion. But how does a civilian model differ from a military one, except for the mark?

There are probably few differences between a civilian and a military model.
Some makers did make these after 1918.

On the other hand, the german army tried to sell off some of their own stocks of 08 binoculars after WWI.
Their experience was, they were unsellable, at any price.

Outdated, obsolete, heavy, and everyone knew what a prismatic binocular was.
          Then why buy an 08.
