British and german WWI naval artillery rangefinder technology article

By chance, I found this on the internet:

    https://tidsskrift.dk/frakrigogfred/issue/view/3755

Choose the PDF article: Hit First, hit hard, etc by Søren Düwell.

    Danish text and english summary.

On WWI german and english navy artillery rangefinders and firedirection technology.

For me, it is the first time I have seen a german navy rangefinder with "Heruntergeführter Okularen".
Meaning a rangefinder where the oculars has been mounted well below the actual instrument.

There are a couple of other interesting items as well.
I haven´t checked if Mr Düwell has made an englsih version of this.
    ( or other articles.)
But just the photo´s are pretty interesting to me.

    Enjoy.

Thanks for the link. I will enjoy reading it. I find Dänish easier to understand in writing as when it is spoken.
The author has an interesting name. Düvel is devil in "Plattdeutsch" - German old language.

Odd. Dyvel is also round small pieces of tree used to assemble and fix wooden furniture.
I guess the devil is in the detail.
Not that I understand what the devil the devil has to do with furniture.

But good luck with the article. Even though I misspelled the name of the author. Düwel.
