colour could indicate Wild manufacture. Swiss made.
There is a very good homepage on Wild instruments. Including their military models

Tripod for Soviet Army artillery busole PAB, early wooden version, latest versions for PAB2 were made from steel. Used in Czechoslovak Army too.
