CAG 6x30 binos info needed

I am wondering wether it is possible to determine the date of production due to a binoculars serial number?

I am seking for informations regarding a "cag" (with blue triangle) 6x30 Dienstglas with the serial number "81688" and H/6400 (what does that stand for?) on it.

these aren't dated but there are three or four variants and I can kinds give a rough date by the finish and construction..

From what I've read, it appears the triangle grease mark came in late 1943.

You don't mention the colour, but from the serials I have, I'm guessing they are tan.

The earliest # I have that is recorded as tan with triangle is 81597. Yours is very close, so on this fairly thin evidence, I'd suggest yours are late 43, or early 44.
