Spent a few hours yesterday going thru Waf threads and there does not seem to be much info on these blc marked binoculars Any help would be great
p.s. may i add that when i bought them i knew that the end plates had been repainted as a former owner went digging for an eagle

Here's the link about your blc marked 7x50H model:

There should be a eagle on the right prism plate.

Thank you for your comment, as mentioned no eagle as a previous collector went digging on the plate looking for an eagle, the plate has been repainted after this vandalism

Neither does my Zeiss marked pair. There are instances of them being used by army officers - maybe all weren't KM issued?

Hitler Sepp Dietrich (far left), commander of the SS-Leibstandarte, near Warsaw during the German invasion of Poland - note the guy in the middle with a 7x50H (or Septar).

Is this the same pair Deitrich holds here later in the war?

if photo´s are dated correctly, then it is not the same pair. Upper covers are worn on the early photo. Not on the late one.

But, it is odd, exactly that model pops up twice next to Dietrich.

                              dragnet.

I cannot really see we agreed they were used by the army.

Similar bino´s are occassionally seen on photo´s, in use by army officers.
Nothing suggest a general use in the army.

We migth as well say the Führerhauptquartier was isssued with these. Several photo´s of Hitler on his Norway trip in 1937 (?)on board a warship, shows him in leather coat, wearing Porro II bino´s.
Someone probably just handed him a Navy bino.
