    History on OIGEE Binoculars

I found a pair of binoculars that my father-in-law had stored; but I can't find much information on them. The brand engraved looks like OIGEE. They are 8 x ?. Also engraved with MILITAR.-MODELL. On the other side they read Opt. Industry G88 Berlin. Have the number 15318 stamped in the bottom. They came in a leather case. Any information anyone can provide is much appreciated; or where to look for more information?

    Not much love for Oigee?

    Galilean? Not prismatic I assume.
    1st war if they are.

I am probably the least knowledgeable person to answer!
    But..
Lots of these German manufacturers were bought by Zeiss either before or after ww2.
    Or went bang. Goerz etc.
Oigee did make 2nd war dienstglas (6×30). Not sure what else they made. Or when they disappeared. Someone on here I am sure will know

      Oigee was founded in 1908.
Here an early Oigee with old logo - http://www.fernglasmuseum.at/museum/...e_jf_craig.htm
      Here a Oigee from the 20-er years - http://www.fernglasmuseum.at/museum/...eit_16mal.html
In WK II, Dienstglas were coded with dzl. The armament factory in Osterode produced devices for the air force - coded with hdv.
In the 50s, a police service glass from Oigee appears again - http://www.fernglasmuseum.at/museum/...m_10mal50.html
