got the following from my father-in-law. He said it was from an american or english gun or something. Anybody know what it is?

Weird as it may sound, I found a small disc in my kitchen the other day. Completely alike the one with the 4 screws on this one.

I scrapped a box of US sights last week. Guess I missed the disc I found.
So, likely, confirmation that it is probably american.
The sights I scrapped, was of 2 models different from this one.
