Silvamar 6*30 "RFV 2048" Marked

Picked these up today.
Can anyone tell me what the RFV 2048 markings mean?

Nice condition Serial No 1750000.
With Reticle & Original nice Zeiss case also marked RFV.

I will post some pics on my blog later/forward to any interested party.

R= Reichs = Reichs
F= Finanz = finance
V= Verwaltung =administration

RFV is short the Reichs Finanz Verwaltung
The finance authority, which was linked to the justice department.

Case is similar. Marked Zeiss in the usual place & RFV on the bottom.
Strap goes all the way round case on mine. Looks like this one has been shortened?
