Carl Zeiss Jena D.F. 8 x 40

I just picked up a set of Carl Zeiss Jena D.F. 8 x 40 serial # 634074. Great condition and good optics with original leather neck strap.
From what I can find I believe these are from the 1917-18 period.
Any further info greatly appreciated.
