The other one is weird as well, serial number is in a grinded out panel.

They look brand new and the second bino without eagle looks also refinished.
Do you agree with me?

Well spotted Andy. I agree. The focus adjustment assemblies appear to be crude replacements. They are often broken. The ocular eye guards are also missing the usual screw and nut assemblies. I would not be surprised if the ocular eye guards are cast replacements as well.

blc 8x60 'fat one' w/eagle
I give my following observations for the benefit of those with an interest =
a. The 8x60 with the created 'emblem' has been opened ,cleaned & serviced in the recent past. It also displays signs of repainting, but not recently. The ocular inserts may be replacements if they are not bakelite construction. Nothing particularly detrimental about any of the aformentioned restoration but that created 'emblem' is truly the 'thumbs down' A great pity that basically a good example has been abused in this manner!
b. The other 8x60 has been opened, cleaned & serviced and repainted recently.
The ocular inserts are replacements( nothing wrong there) the screw fasteners of the fold back ocular lens covers are the wrong pattern, the lens covers could be replacement but it is difficult to tell from photos. JEDH
