    Thanks for the info page, has some great photos. Also mentions that after absorbtion into the SS, they kept the same uniforms, but the RFV device had to be removed from the shoulder straps and new uniform purchases had to have an SS arm eagle. The October 2003 photo shows that. Click on the photo section at the top of the page.

    They had a lot more units formed that I thought.

      Same here. I have the same set.
      was more interested to see the case.
      Typical zeiss commercial case in black instead of tan.

      No RFV markings that I can see.

          Only other markings, except for the Zeise Jena stamp, was a faint 1 on the front right of the case.

            Inside found a missing lower support shoulder, remaining one is a very soft velvety fabric, not the normal hard leather that military cases have.

              case last

              The last thing of interest is that short carry strap that appears factory made. It has 4 adjustment slots, one that is fastened on now, and another slit a few inches above it. Slits appear made at the factory and don't look shortened later.
