    ...and that marking ???
I won´t even try to bid...

But I would dearly like to have it.

Nice indeed - but technically it's a Kaiserliche Marine glass. In WW1 it was Austro Hungary who had a Kriegsmarine.

Not often offered for sale but nice to see. I only hope that those hard to find binoculars start coming onto the market more often.

          In my view, never before.

Price went pretty high, as I expected, and if I buy something in the US, I can add 26-28% danish VAT on the grand total, including the ship.

What does the S1 marking mean?

I am pretty sure I have a 900x marked bino here somewhere. But last night I couldn´t find it. (nerdy me was thinking consecutive numbers)
Regardless, mine does not have the S1 marking.

The S1 Torpedoboat went to Deutsche Museum in 1896. An unlikely candidate.

Just had another look at the markings. 7xL50,4 I am pretty sure that is not the usual marking either.
Only two I found here last night were a navy 12x and an army model 7x50 leitz.
I have sampled the photo´s. I like to make a comparison with some ordinary Imp. navy 7x50.
