Dear fellow collectors

I have just been advised that Mike passed away suddenly at the week end. His widow has asked me to let the binocular community know.

It makes us all realise how temporary our ownership of our toys is.

He was a good guy and an honest and knowledgeable dealer. I corresponded with him a little when I started collecting and he was very helpful. Will miss him.

I am very much saddened to learn of Mike's untimely death, I too have had a number of good binoculars from Mike over the years, a gentleman to deal with , he was a very decent sort.
My absolute sympathy goes to Mike's family.

Sadly earlier this year another absolute gentleman pased away - Mr. Dougie Boggart who ran Glasgow Binocular Repairs.
Dougie had battle cancer forthe previus 18months, a good friend to me.

2016 has not been a good year.
