the earliest g43 mounts were marked like that. Walther mount with the early type numbering. They stopped stamping the numbers and went to a Pantograph
numbering system. Then stopped adding the scope # to the mount.
I assume they thought the shock of stamping numbers compromised the mount and sought it un-necessary to keep adding the scope # to the mount.
Early metal carry cans and wood cases have the mount # painted on them as well.
This was all phased out later.

This rig is real or the best reproduction I have ever seen. These early rigs are very scarce..
