I looking through some older files from National Archives I had, I noticed this copy of a 1940 letter concerning the WaA station at the Askania optics firm in Berlin. I didn't know if any collectors had associated the firm with a particular WaA, so I thought I would share this document with the optics forum. I thought this document interesting as it establishes the association of the WaA number with the location rather than the senior inspector who might carry it to a different assignment. The handwritten notation is mine from years ago.

Interesting.
One thing is that they apparently had several inspectors active under the same "WaA umbrella" aka WaA number.
I take note that the first WaA man was a company man in sept. 37. Then followed by a Waffenrevisor on jan. 1st. 38.
The tech. angest. must be technicians working for the WaA.
Another that such reportings must have been made from other companies as well.
Any detail on where this paper was found ?
Which archive fund?
The 1 meter rangefinder must be the M36.
Interesting piece of paper. Thanks for sharing.Last edited by Mikedenmark; 06-28-2015, 09:24 AM.
