Hello Leon,

This is a very nice example of a KM binoculars by Leitz Wetzlar
This is what I mean by the eagle! This eagle is the correct one. The eagle on Jon"s binoculars is different and is in my opinion totally wrong. This one is for sale if I am correct?

so what's the theory on the eagle?
stamped at a later date to improve value?
As said earlier this was a direct vet purchase... could this have been stamped soon after the war for GI 'nazi' souvenir reasons?
