Picked this up today, piece is flat mint with crystal clear optics and with its original leather covers. They don't get much nicer.

Don't want to sound silly but did you photograph into the correct end of the tube? Usually it is possible to get a clear photo while looking through the scope. Maybe the focus of the camera is the problem?
