My question is - what does the number 41 - the number I see more often on Hungarian optics?

I thought it means 1941 production. But have absolutely no idea about the rest, not even period or country...

                Hello Csaba,

the 41 number doesn't mean the year of the production, it is a factory code of a hungarian optic factory, introduced after the war. I do not remember wich factory, not the MOM, but it is sure, that it is a code of a factory and the item is not a ww2 period product.

                Üdvözlettel,
                Gábor /immer/

                    Helo Hans,
I was not right, I said it is surely not the MOM, but you are right and yes, this is the code of the MOM.

                        So 41 is really MOM?
I have 41 seen even at Hungarian binoculars the 50's.
                        best regards
                        Hans
