Hi guys, I picked up this lot today from the nephew of the soldier who brought it back from the war. He was a heavy machine gunner in the 83rd Infantry division. I know nothing about cameras, but this was thrown in to sweeten the deal on the HJ Knife so I took it. Is there any info on year produced or model out there?

Sorry to inform you that your deal was not sweetened much at all with the inclusion of this camera. As you can no doubt see it is a Zeiss Ikon Ikonta. The model number (520/2) can be seen on the door in picture 3. Because it is lacking a viewfinder on the body, it must be a very early example - maybe from 1929-30. It's worth about $25-30.

This is all I valued it at anyway. The item is more important to me than the monetary value. Like I said, it was thrown in to sweeten it, the deal was still for the knife. Thanks for the info!Comment
