Are the features on this 6x30 Dienstglass signs of post war use??

I obtained these binoculars years ago coming from old Norwegian Army stocks who used them through after the war.

There are a few things that bother me compared to other German examples:

    1. The white lettering is IMO different in exposure than to what I have seen before (i.e. here more true -new?- white and not very sharp applied)
    2. Also the bubbled (not bakelite) coating on the lens housing is of a different composition (more matt) and very new in appearance.

Are my concerns legitimate? Can Anyone share some expertise on the matter?

Help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The textured paint on the body is sometimes referred to as "rice" (ground-up rice is used as an aggregate in the paint). It is very possible that the prism covers and axle were re-painted black, and the markings were highlighted with white (one opinion).

tough to say for sure. As most orig. ddx glasses have white paint in the markings. These are super common and I really don't think it would effect the value anyways.
Enjoy them and get a black bakelite case for them.

I would say refinished poorly. But it could be fixed easily enough. The value for these is in clear optics.
