"N" is only related to the location and station...likewise for surface and submarine vessels...Good nice early U-Boat (U-Boot) binos...bravo!

A welcome return for the old "North Sea" or "Northern Station" debate! If it's the same for surface and submarines - many of the "N" marked beh 7x50's could also have been submarine issued......
