Is this a Tzf 2?

If I understand correctly the KgZf1, Kgzf2 and the Tzf 2 all used the same reticule (although they had different FOV and Magn.)

So this would mean that the TZf 2 used by the PZ I A and B looked like this?

Magnification is 2.5x

Those are my pics, and correspond to a KZF2. I don't know if a TZF2 has the same one.

Carles is right, thats the KZF. I think the 1 and 2 both had the same reticle.

The TZF 2 is a different animal. Pretty sure based on what I've read its the big triangle in the center with two smaller ones to each side, have to go back and look but can't remember right now if the scale is on the recticle or if the triangles were elevated and lowered the hand control knob that "clicked" each time you turned it. It only turned up or down by a few clicks, so there were only a couple choices to make.

Interesting, could you please check if you have any more details about the TZF 2?

From your description the reticle for the TZF2 looks similar to the Sfl.ZF 1 used in the early STUGs?

No, it would be different. The ZF1s (different varieties for different vehicles and equipped guns) had fixed (stationary or ballistic) reticles and were periscopic.
The TZF 2 was a true telescope. and the reticles were just as I described - just the triangles with a clicking lever that raised them up and down inside the view.

I think the ones on the right and left are just the /\ but I'm not 100% sure. Jentz describes it pretty well in his book on the Pkpfw Is and IIs. Might want to go back and read it - I don't have the copy on hand at the moment. I know some folks who might actually own one, I'll ask.
