navy contract 7x50 blc no serial # ?

I just picked up a pair of blc 7x50's no "dienstglas" marked navy contract . They are the standard looking coastal artilllery binos.. Tall barrel eye adjustments
the weird thing is there are no serial nimbers on the plates or frame. Has anyone else seen this ?? I cant post photos but if anyone wants I can send them the pics and they can post them..

they have no deinstglas on the plate. and the typical navy type eye focus tall smooth barrels.. They are not the gas mask type either... I can email someone the photos if they like.. I really didnt realize till later they had no serial #

sounds like the fixed focus model... smooth ocular rings.

But no serial number sound weird. How about the edge of the prism house covers?, or maybe overpainted small serial number on the center hinge?

Or, there was some, with the blc markings, but nothing else, except white painted on letters/numbers...
I think, they may be immediate postwar assemblies, often seen in brand new condition.
One option could be to try Ultra Violet light, and see if there are traces of painted on characters. ( on the upper prism Covers)
The UV light are used by stamp collectors, and people collecting german WWII stuff..especially uniforms.
