Zf39 case markings translation

I bought a Zeiss Zf39 scope with the lens covers and the case. the markings on the lid are what looks like ink: Mannl . 9, 5 Z
The 9 is large the 5 is small and the Z is large with its horizontal lines squiggly.
Is this any info on the scope, or the owner and his company or regiment?

The Zeiss Scope You bought and Case , To me I am thinking it might be a Reichswehr Scope & Case is the Case Squire shaped and Cover opens at an Angle but is Attached to case , Is Case Leather and Square shape . Can You Post Pics . The Markings could be Regimental Info . Best regards

It is oval in shape. The lid is seperate with the strap going through loops on the sides of the lid and fastening to the sided of the main body with buckles
