I recently acquired this pair of binoculars. They're not in my field of expertise. Could somebody share their real purpose with me. Based on their color, are they Africa Corp.? Also, is there an approximate value based on the condition? I appreciate it, thanks very much.

cxn D.F.10x80 Flakglas
Hi Tazmaner1,
A nice original set of Flakglas.!
From the pictures that you provided the right side objective lense shows the image of a "white flower" This is lense separation, and at this point it is largely cosmetic. The lense separation will progress over time and affect your viewing.
Flakglas were used for a variety of tasks from the direction of anti -aircraft fire , direction of search lights to general reconnaisance work.
The Sandfarben colour of your set does not indicate use in a specific theatre of conflict (eg DAK), it indicates that they were made from about late 43 onwards.
The usual US Ebay value for a set of Flakglas like yours which includes the lens covers and face pad extras is about $600 .
I attach a recent link to a recent discussion on the Flakglas. Check also the link referred to within this link for some pointers to check out the mechanics and optical condition of your Flakglas ,and also pix of the Flakglas and its tripod, cradle and Meßkreis set up.

The only thing he didnt point out you might not know is the cxn code is for Emil Busch , Cxn and dkl are the most common maker of these.. beh is less common and there are other less common still...
Actually that set was grey and was overpainted tan. The base color is a red primer used on the cast zinc body..
