Hi guys
Last Saturday I got this old fellow. It was clearly painted black postwar, so I decided to remove the black paint and bring it back to its original state as close as possible.
I think one of the reasons it was painted black might be that it were missing some paint here and there.
The spots where there are no paint and where you can see the first coat of paint (red) is not done by me. I have only taken off the black paint and treated it very gentle.
I like the result very much and think bringing it back to its original state has done no harm.
I´m not very knowledgeable on the optic subject and any info on the bino would be much appreciated
Anyone know what the handwritten number on the side might indicate?
All the best
Lars
By the way
I will start with the before shots, then followed with the after paint removal pictures.
