I should have been more specific.I've never seen the instruction book, which is a part of this listing, offered for sale before.I wanted to know how rare it was and what I could expect to pay for one if it ever came up for sale by itself and not combined with the binoculars.

What's with the harsh criticism?I and many other members have posted listings from this auction site on numerous occasions on order to foster discussion of the items.None of these other posts, however, have received the blast you aimed at my post. What's different about my posting?

Here's an example of a thread I started several weeks ago.The link in my first post was to a listing that was active at the time.No one criticized the inclusion of the link and the complete thread turned out to be quite informative.

Thanks for posting the pictures,I haven't figured out how to do that yet.
BTW,do you know what item 11 in the fold out chart is?The other items in the same row look like wrench handles and interchangeable heads.

If you are only interested in this instruction book why does you place the link not after the auction has been ended? As you see there are enough peoples how are willing to place such pics on WAF without a link to Ebay. The only thing that you have been achieved is to make it public so the price will rise sky high probably,...... for the rest i have nothing against you

A very nice set, and thanks for posting. I have never seen an instruction booklet for these or any other WW2 issue German handheld binoculars.

It sounds like you are bidding or are interested in bidding on these binoculars.
Either that or you like stirring the pot.
The purpose of these forums is to foster discussion about and interest in the artifacts produced by all sides in WWII and previous conflicts.

Another very important reason for posting a link to an active eBay auction is to find out if the price asked or the bidding level reached is reasonable. This is of great help to a member who is interested in the item but doesn't want to over pay.
