ddx 6x30 #205527 buyer notes

This set is currently on offer on german Ebay under # 270839786354 by zeugamt-berlin. This set was previously offered on German ebay on 20 September 2011 and at that point it had at least 10% paint loss from its case and had oxidation damage to prism screws and hinge As you will note below from the photos ddx 6x30 #205527 now looks like a very tidy original looking set.
I personally do not approve of quick buys and sales especially when it involves altering the appearance of an historical item to "add value" for a quick sale.
What do Forum members think about this practice?

I have a photo record of cag 6x30 300817 appearing on German ebay on 19 October 2011 . I attach the pix from October when this set was in its previous salty state.
This is the third time in the last month that we have seen Ebay offerings from zeugamt-berlin whereby binoculars have been pimped

The cosmetic work that you see in the photos of cag 300817 - the ( before and after ) is very very good convincing. ...artistic even!!!
And not to miss a trick [B]Zeugamt-berlin [/B also refers to them as Afrikakorp - this popular Ebay myth adds a 100Euro

It is a worry that deceptions like this are frequently occurring at the most affordable end of the dienstglas binocular range

do you know the meaning of the word "restored" ?

read the desription of the binoculars and you will see that they have been blind and not usable. now they are perfect.

ebay is a selling platform not a place to make a better world. if you want to do that, start at your own door !

i bought a U.D.F. and a 7x50 beh "flak küste" for a lot of money because they looked ok on the pictures and the seller said "they are good". but they are both repainted. BUT I WILL NOT START TO CRY OR MAKE ALARM LIKE YOU DO.
