Reports are that the Hensoldt roofs were very rarely used by the Kriegsmarine, one important reason being their alloy body was prone to corrode badly under marine conditions.

There is only one type binoculars from Hensoldt with the "Dachkantenprisma"-System which is marked with bmj and Dienstglas used by the Kriegsmarine.
On this 7x56 bmj Dienstglas binoculars are also the markings "Artl." and the german eagle with swastika.
the shown 10x50 Dienstglas was not used by the kriegsmarine.

        regards

Binoculars marked DIENSTGLAS are army issue. Dialyts were not used by the navy. Maybe they might have been on coastal fortresses as some were manned and supplied by the army. But they were not supplied to the navy.

Another fact is that the alloys used in dialyts did not survive in a salty climate. The electron alloy used in some will deteriorate extremely fast. I have a “MARINEDIALYT” 7x50 somewhere with reticle but I presume it was used by the army.

              regards

There is only one Dialyt used by the Kriegsmarine. The 7x56 bmj Dienstglas. It was used by the Marine-Artillerie.
can you show us your Marinedialyt 7x50?
