    6x30 Zeiss binos ww2?

    Hello,
I recentally purchased these binos at a flea market, i originally thougth them to be post war but then i saw that on the front there were 2 waffen amps, they are very lite so i assume they are made of alluminum, they are 6 x 30s, the lenses are cristal clear and show no sign of fog in the lenses, My question's, are they original? have they been repainted? Are they pre-war? what does the H/6400 mean? Have they been repainted?

I appologize for the bad pictures!

The waffen amp seems to be WaA?02 or WaA242

    All help is appreciated

    Hello,

This binocular released in about 1939-1940 year.
This is the original Carl Zeiss. It has been repainted!
Marking H/6400 indicates that in the right ocular reticle present.

    Sorry, for my bad english.

Indeed, and the detailing on the Zeiss Jena Logo and other markings could do with tidying-up - in fact Dienstglas has 'lost' the 'i' and become 'Denstglas', shame that.

Has anyone here any experience and Pros and Cons regarding cleaning-up overpainted models?

          Regards,
          Paul

Thanks everyone for there fast replys, i am glad that they are ww2 but am disipointed that they have been repainted, would it be worth it to strip them and repaint them or leave it like it is?

not worth the action. sell it and look for a original pair (around 50 euros)
