ddx with serial number beginning with zero

    Hi guys,
Anyone have any idea as to why some binoculars have a serial number starting with zero? I have 2 pairs of ddx 6x30 in black and both have a zero at the start of the serial number?

    Thanks,
    Brett

      Hi Stew,
I started a thread on this about 5 years ago with no reply though, here is the link to the old thread with some pics.

        ddx 6x30 zero serial numbers

        Hi Brett,
an interesting topic .You have probably seen the serial number survey(see attached link) which includes a few zero serial numbers in the ddx range.
        http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=37513

also coincidentally there is a ddx 6x30 zero series serial number on UK Ebay see link
        http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Pair-German-WW...item2eb4976c97

My personal observation based on the serial number survey results suggest that the only records of serial numbers commencing with "zero" appear to be black rice covered 6x30 ddx.....
