    Ruka Rathenow SS-Dienstglas binoculars

    Hello,

I want to sell my SS binoculars, but not cheap! So not for bargain hunters!(^_^) If interested, please write to me (personal message).

These binoculars were built only by Ruka in Rathenow for the SS in the pre-war time. It was larger than the normal Wehrmacht Dienstglas,
and it usually takes the serial number 40xxx, 70xxx, 90xxx and 10xxxx on such SS-Dienstglasses.

    Here's a another example:

Maybe Im the only one but to me the so called SS Dienstglas from RUKA is a big question - do we have some written order "verordnungsblatt" stating the SS Binos to binocular factories???? Until we have some written orders for deliverys to the SS, Im not convinced of the orginality of the binos. Just my honest opinion.
    Best regards, Tom

Neither Seeger or Rohan reference this binocular in their books.

        ss binos

Ruka Rathenow made binos for SS and marked them like that. Search the forum, you should find number of posts about them. They are being faked however. The ones in that thread look to have screws that were messed with, not a good sign.

Here's a link to the therad with case that went with them from my collection.

                Binos

They are being faked. Back plates with markings are being faked and installed on the original period binos. I am not saying that yours are bad, but anyone has to be very carefull with them. Any sign of tempering with screws is a big warning sign. Wait for opinions from bino experts. Font on yours is a little bit different than on the ones from the group photo in the thread that you refer, but it may be OK. Different stamps could be used. Once again I am not saying your binos are bad, just being causious.

Just thinking why all stamping on weaponary and other stuff I have found in Norway has been blued and these TK`s are exposed to corrosion or painted white.
